"Amongst the Trees" (Part 2) ...Revisiting...

Early Saturday morning, July 6th: Watching the summertime sunlight stream in through the trees at Lewis Bay. I love the distinct shadows that are being casted on the "carpet-like" green grass. This photograph looks like a scene straight out of a fairytale book! I am blessed to live with-in walking distance to this "mystical looking" place.

I am a loyal member of the "Proud Auntie's Club".

This sweet, angelic baby boy is my nephew, Justin. (6 months old here) I just told my brother and sister-in-law the other day just how much I am IN LOVE with this kid and I wonder what it will feel like when I have my own child to swoon over! I keep thinking to myself that there is NO WAY I could feel more love than I already do when it comes to loving a child. I am one proud Auntie! And I mean, really, look at that face! What a cutie! Your heart melts just looking at him! (I know mine does...) and when he smiles every care of the world just rolls off your shoulders and you feel burden-less when he is in your arms. This portrait of Justin was taken the day he first met his Great Grandma from Florida. Family is traveling far and wide to meet this precious boy. Lighting up lives, one at a time.

A Weekend Away at Camp Spofford (New Hampshire)

A little site-seeing in Keene, NH before going on our "couples retreat" for the weekend!

Look what was in our room waiting for us upon our arrival!

7:30am - Sitting by the lake with my morning cup of coffee. Soaking up the beauty; so peaceful.

"He leads me beside still waters. He restores my soul."
                                            (Psalm 23:3)

Memorial Day 2013! (A day outdoors)

Happy Memorial Day friends! What a gorgeous day today in the "land of the free, home of the brave!" I am so thankful for so many things; one of them being my freedom. Remembering those who have dedicated their lives to serving our country faithfully (and/or have served.) Thank you!

"I'm proud to be an American where at least I know I'm free. And I won't forget the men who died and gave that right to me. And I'll gladly stand up next to you and defend her still today. Cause there ain't no doubt I love this land. GOD BLESS THE USA!

Corporation Beach

I love living on Cape Cod! Seriously, how lucky am I to call this place my home?! I took this shot in the beginning of May when the weather was just starting to get warmer for us. I was on my way to work when I decided to make a quick stop here at Corporation Beach. I Pulled into the parking lot where I encountered a few other people (either walking the beach or sitting in their cars) just soaking up the beauty. I put my car in park; rolled down my windows half-way and turned the car off. Immediately, I heard the sounds of seagulls and smelled the sea salt air as the ocean breeze came spilling into my car. Ahhhh! Love it! I thanked God for the day; for His creation and His love. What a great way to start my morning!

..."Let the Light In" ...

"He redeemed my soul from the pit, and I will live to enjoy the light." (Job 33:28)
~
This photograph is a bit more "abstract" than I am used to but I kind of like it. Something new. Something different. I just HAD to capture this moment when the early morning sun rays streamed in through my bedroom window. This photo is up for many different interpretations, but when I look at it, I see a cross with the sunlight streaming through it. Bringing me hope, peace and comfort, for I am not alone in this life.
